Ralph Steadman and Thomas W. Benton both created memorial prints after the death of their close friend Hunter S. Thompson in 2005. Ralph Steadman's print Going Home was signed by numerous celebrities and distributed at Thompson's memorial service in Woody Creek, Colorado, where Thompson's ashes were fired from a 153 foot tall canon. The five color silkscreen is signed and numbered in pencil by Ralph Steadman and also signed by Johnny Depp, Kurt Vonnegut, Ed Bradley, Bill Murray, Anita Thompson, Douglas Brinkley, Deborah Fuller, Laila Nabulsi, Jann Wenner, Bob Braudis, Juan Thompson, and stamped with Hunter S. Thompson's personal "Gonzo" stamp.

Thomas W. Benton also created a memorial Gonzo print in 2005 and printed less than a hundred of the limited edition silkscreen with the added inscription of Hunter's birth and death year, 1937-2005. The Gonzo print and the original version are both signed by Benton and include the artist's thumbprint in gold ink.
