A few years back I was astonished at a picture featured in Joseph Campbell´s book, " The hero with a thousand faces ". I was so moved by it that I even got it tattooed in my body. It looks very similar to this work. Representing Autumn´s rituals,  I assumed it as a way to evoke the beautiful yet horrific cycle of life, death and existence in the material universe.
