'Visionary Fashion' by Chloe Trujillo combines spirituality and fashion in time for London Fashion Week
Acclaimed French-American visionary artist and fashion designer Chloe Trujillo is set to display her distinctive works of art in a special exhibition, titled “Visionary Fashion”, at London’s Imitate Modern Gallery in Mayfair on Saturday, February 18th through February 25th, 2017 during London Fashion Week. The week-long exhibition will coincide with the series of events and shows taking place during one of the fashion industry’s most anticipated events, highlighting some of the premier international runway collections.
Influenced by elements of alchemy, mysticism, and esoteric art forms, The Venice, California-based artist will be featuring her idiosyncratic works of art on special scarves - made in Italy with silk from Lake Como and fine "voile de cotton" - and showcasing elements, symbols, and inscriptions from various paintings. Finished with hand-roll stitching, each scarf is as unique and precious as it is a meaningful work of art. Her scarves are currently sold at Colette in Paris, Bacci's in Vancouver, Smets in Luxembourg, Jades in Düsseldorf, New Toyoshima Boutique in Japan, Joan Shepp in Philadelphia and Lola K in Monte Carlo.
About Chloe Trujillo:
Raised in Paris by fashion designer parents and an Opera singer grandfather, Chloe Trujillo grew up surrounded by music, beauty, art and design. Fascinated by science however, she took a different path studying matter structure and quantum mechanics at university. Yet the spirit of art remained, and this spirit called her back. She has since enjoyed success as a fine artist, designer and musician. Chloe lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, and their two children. She balances her time between art, music and fashion, infusing each piece and project with the love and excitement she feels whilst creating.
