ABOUT ICI
Headquartered in New York, ICI is a small non-profit with a large purview. Over the last 38 years, ICI has produced 128 traveling exhibitions and profiled the work of more than 3,700 artists and curators, working with 478 museums, university art galleries, and art centers in 49 states and 42 countries worldwide, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, and Western Sahara. Experienced by nearly 6 million people, the exhibitions and events have attracted extensive local, national, and international press, and are placed in a critical framework through accompanying catalogues and books published by ICI.
Since 2010, 20 ICI exhibitions have been presented by 147 venues in 29 countries profiling the work of over 735 artists and 91 curators worldwide; 134 curators and artists from the U.S and abroad have contributed to ICI’s talks programs, online journal, and conferences; and 187 curators from 47 countries and 20 U.S. states have participated in the Curatorial Intensives, ICI’s short-course professional training programs.
There are currently 197 alumni of ICI’s Curatorial Intensive program, based in 45 countries and 17 U.S. states. ICI seeks to stay connected to its vast network of curators to stay updated on current projects and exhibitions.
