In 2012, Khaled Jarrar designed postage stamps of the non-existing State of Palestine as his contribution to the Berlin Biennale. Furthermore he started a campaign where he marked passports of tourists with an entry stamp of his homeland. Jarrar’s passport and postage stamps tell the story of a state-to-be. But reality goes against him and other Palestinians. Instead of continuing again and again the discussion about a one- or two-state solution, using these stamps is a simple gesture that helps to create normality.Together with Khaled Jarrar, the Istanbul based team of Diyalog and InEnArt will revive this project and bring the stamps in circulation again. This is not only an appreciation of Khaled Jarrars work but also a support and spread of its political message.
