The Nonprofit’s Guide to Selling on Artsy

Artsy’s art patrons can support your mission by discovering your exhibitions and buying editions to support your organization.
Here are a few tips and tricks to ensure you are maximizing your connection to Artsy’s vast collector network.
1. Create relationships with new collectors who discover your program
Inquiries arrive directly in your email inbox. To increase the likelihood of a sale, it is best to respond to inquiries on artworks within 24 to 48 hours.
2. List the price of your artwork
Artsy users often search for works based on price range. It is best to select “Display exact price on Artsy” in CMS. Inquiries on works with published exact prices are six times more likely to move from an inquiry conversation to a sale.
3. Review your inventory
Log in to CMS to ensure your page is up to date. Review your for-sale inventory, update and mark if a work has sold, and include as much metadata (medium, year, provenance) as possible for available works.
4. Add new editions to make maximize your visibility
When you upload new for-sale works, they are automatically included in personalized artwork notification emails, sent to Artsy collectors who follow your artists.
