Intelligence Squared presented a hugely successful “pop-up” debate in Singapore, at LASALLE College of the Arts. Held with the support of Platform Projects, the debate saw Heman Chong and Graham Steele arguing For the motion, against opponents Michael Craig-Martin and Blake Gopnik. The spirited debate saw fiery arguments on issues such as: what makes a good artist? Can creativity be taught? What kind of education ups the ante for success in today’s global culture? Watch the video and see how Martin and Gopnik swung the votes an impressive 31% in their favour.
