My Highlights from The Armory Show 2014
My Selection:
Raymond Pettibon, No Title (If indeed it...), 2013, at David Zwirner
One of the artists I enjoy the most and collect in depth is Raymond Pettibon. I'm in awe of the scope of his talent.
Carol Bove, Jean Krupa, 2013, at David Zwirner
I thought her recent show at Maccarone Gallery and presentation at MoMA were both sublime. David, can I buy this one please???
Cyprien Gaillard, Fields of Rest, 2013, at Sprüth Magers
An exciting young artist. His show at Gladstone recently blew me away but [my husband] Jared and I are suckers for bulldozers and rare earth minerals!
Peter Fischli & David Weiss, Röhre aus Gummi, 2012, at Sprüth Magers
I've always loved a good construction site, and with Fischli/Weiss you get the sense that they did too!
Piero Manzoni, Achrome, 1958, at Mazzoleni Galleria d'Arte
I think a lot of today’s artists owe tribute to Manzoni.
Haim Steinbach, Capri Suite 3, 1988, at Lia Rumma
These objects are so seemingly ordinary they require your sincere attention in order to appreciate the deliberate choices being made by the artist. In an age where anything can be art, what else is there? #underratedartist
Michelangelo Pistoletto, Black and Light, Dark Perspective, 2007, at Galleria Continua
I like the one on the left the best! A great recent artwork by one of Arte Povera’s masters.
Lucio Fontana, Concetto spaziale, Attesa, 1966, CARDI / CARDI BLACK BOX
Sometimes it’s the simple things in life.
