The Passing of Time

The window can also be a conceptual device, used to evoke a sense of time passing – as in the moving shadow of a window in Uta Barth’s Untitled (...and of time. #4) – or push the image to an extreme almost to the point of abstraction, as in Luisa Lambri’s image from inside a skylight of the Sheats-Goldstein house in Los Angeles.
