Barbara Kruger

I was taught at university in Melbourne by a feminist art teacher who blew our minds with the images of Barbara Kruger' "I Shop Therefore I Am" which were to me the most startlingly fresh and smart and immediate art and the kind of work that I thought I might make but of course never could.  It never ceases to amaze me that she is just as visually and intellectually challenging now as before with her hilarious and ironic Greedy Schmuck and Big Shot digital prints.
