I was first seduced by Grotjahn's sumptuous and decadent butterfly paintings, his sense of color, and I covet them, and am so impressed that he pushes his practice and challenges his audience and makes ugly beautiful. It would have been so easy to just get rich and fat. I really want one of those sculptures.
