This selection—a balance of Asian contemporary art and international art—is about artists and artworks engaged in diverse challenging and innovative practices related to conceptual art and institutional critique, contemporary photography and cinema, poetics, and new painting. The artworks selected have high quality of execution (Olafur Eliasson, Zeng Fanzhi, Zhang Enli, Taner Ceylan), powerful criticality regarding the contemporary world (MAP Office, Xu Zhen), or poetry of life (Chen Wei, Lee Kit, Peter Fischli & David Weiss).
