Part 2 - A guided tour of the Brazilian art at Frieze London and Frieze Masters

Kicking off part 2 of our guided tour of Frieze London, we visit Galeria Fortes Vilaça (D5) who are presenting multimedia sculptural works by Peruvian artist, Armando Andrade Tudela, works by Portuguese artistic duo, João Maria Gusmão + Pedro Paiva and Welsh conceptualist artist, Cerith Wyn Evans. The gallery are also showcasing Adriana Varejao's beautiful 'China Series' which is pictured here.  

Mendes Wood  DM (G11) are showcasing previously unseen works by Thiago Martins de Melo which is seen here. Pieces from Paulo Nazareth’s series 'Cadernos de Africa' are also being exhibited. 

Moving on, we go to A Gentil Carioca's stand (G6) who are showcasing works by Jarbas Lopes, João Modé, Maria Laet and Thiago Rocha Pitta. Maria Nepomuceno's vibrant work, pictured here, is also on display with José Bento's tactile pieces which encourage the visitor to touch, move and play with the works. 

A Gentil Carioca is also exhibiting at Frieze Masters. Within the Spotlight sector (S14) the gallery are displaying early works by pioneering Brazilian Contemporary artist, Hélio Oiticica.
