When time calls to react, is the basis of a block of panel talks brought forth in order to spotlight awareness about present structural realities that impact position and representation in the art world. Put to the fore moreover is the potential role of art itself to impact and mirror societal growth in an ever changing political climate.

How to define a great art collection and how do you build one yourself? Together with three etablished collectors, we will discuss the motivating forces for collecting as well as the several collectors taste, that often develops over time. The collectors will share their experience from buying situations at galleries and auction houses as well as from studio visits and installations. Hopefully they will pass on some useful advice, indicating what pitfalls to avoid.

Iris Smeds is an interdisciplinary artist working with notions about female representation and commodification of identity and art as entertainment, often putting the financial and immaterial value of art and human beings to the forefront.

Programmed in collaboration with ArtloverWhen was the first artwork made? What is the essential difference between happening and performance? What good does art ultimately do?Art writer Lars O Ericson sorts the terminology out together with David Castenfors, editor-in-chief Artlover.
