Pieces of California in my Work:

My work is informed by personal experiences, internal thoughts, and conversations with others. Because of the journalistic nature of my drawings, I feel that aspects of Los Angeles occasionally make their way into the larger work—a street sign, a parking ticket, visual elements of the city that I come across on a daily basis, but the drawings are not all specific to Los Angeles. The patterns, shapes, and phrases that exist in my work can be representative of the location I am in at the time the drawing is made.
