China by Xu Bing
As with other Xu Bing works, at an arm's length you might think this is written in Chinese, but it isn't. None of these are Chinese characters.
You might next notice that the two "characters" on the bottom row actually say "Xu Bing" in a highly stylized form of the Western alphabet.
It took me ages to figure out the rest but I am pretty sure the work as a whole says: "Asian contemporary art in print Xu Bing." (Each character is a single word.) Am I right?
