Distorted Forms: Artists from La Ruptura
Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA)
In reaction to the Mexican School of Painting and Mexican muralism, a group of artists identified as Generación de la Ruptura (Rupture Generation), went against the established nationalistic art that was part of Mexico’s post-revolutionary ideals. This exhibition will present a selection of works by artists who are representative of this movement, from MOLAA’s Permanent Collection.
