About the Exhibitor
Galleri Flach is situated in Stockholm, Sweden, working with Scandinavian and International contemporary art. The gallery was founded in 1999 by James Flach and Eva-Lotta Holm Flach, and has since then been introducing both young emerging and established artists in Sweden and internationally. In recent years the gallery has also been concerned about introducing artists from less highlighted regions within the world of contemporary art, such as West Africa. The gallery space measures about 200 square meters and the program includes artists working in all kinds of medias ; video, painting, photography, sculpture and site-specific installations. The exhibition program includes seven to eight exhibitions annually, and participation in approximately three international art fairs during the year. In order to reach out to a broader audience, the gallery also collaborates with other galleries in joint short-term events, situated in central, temporary locations in the city centre. Through long-term collaborations with artists, our aim is to expose and establish urgent and important artists and their art not yet or already established on a global art scene. To make this happens we collaborate with collectors, curators, museums and other galleries around the world. Gallery owners James Flach and Eva-Lotta Holm Flach have both long careers in contemporary art in Sweden. James Flach was formally the co-owner of Galleri Tre, exposing artists such as Henrik Håkansson, Steven Parrino, Fred Tomaselli and Sylvie Fleury . Eva-Lotta Holm Flach is an art historian and has also been working as a curator and a lecturer in Art Theory at The Royal of Collage of Art in Stockholm.
