Thierry-Goldberg Gallery opened its doors in 2007 on Rivington Street, in the same storefront space that in 1983 was the site of Richard Prince’s seminal exhibition, “Spiritual America.” Owned by husband- wife duo Ron Segev and Claire Lemetais (Thierry and Goldberg are their mothers’ maiden names), the gallery was among the first spaces established on the Lower East Side. In 2011, the gallery moved a few blocks east, to a 2000 square foot space on the ground floor of a Bernard Tschumi designed building on Norfolk Street. The gallery strives to maintain a diverse program, launching and fostering the careers of emerging artists in all media.
