Bill Culbert on what drew him to the venue, Istituto Santa Maria della Pietà: “because they were all very strange, very different spaces. Only the passage had the air of the church and history... It was perfect ... I felt that, in that state, I wouldn’t want to do anything to the building. I’ll just keep it as it is, and let the works I put there make what they can.”
