New Zealand Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale
“Bill Culbert’s exhibition essentially comes in pieces, so once all the elements were ready, we decided to hire and drive our own truck from Croagnes (Bill's home and studio in southern France) directly to Venice. It was a 48-hour epic mission: soft packing and loading the materials into the truck, leaving Croagnes at 8pm and driving through the night to meet the freight boat in Venice at 8am the following morning.”— Terry Urbahn, Exhibitions Manager, New Zealand Pavilion
