The Biennale of Chianciano is a wonderful opportunity to understand and enjoy contemporary art from all around the world. The preparations take over a year as masterpieces are selected from approximately 120 artists from over 30 different nations. The international curators responsible for this difficult undertaking are in fact the same professionals who also organise the London Art Biennale as well as exhibitions in renowned institutions such as the Victoria & Albert and Lord Leighton Museums in London.

Nearly four hundred artworks are thoughtfully displayed over three thousand square meters of the Chianciano Art Museum, creating a harmonious, stimulating and unique experience for the viewer. Masterpieces from the permanent collection such as works by Salvador Dali and Albrecht Durer are temporarily removed for this special occasion, making space and paving the way for the exceptional contemporary talents that are the Biennale of Chianciano 2013.
