The PHOTOFAIRS | San Francisco Public Program brings together international figures from the art world to open up the conversation around current trends in contemporary photography and collecting.
Conversations features leading art world experts, artists, curators and collectors in a dynamic program of talks and panels. This program will examine key themes and ideas seen throughout the fair.

Insights | New Approaches to Photography since 2000 is co-curated by Alexander Montague-Sparey (Artistic Director, PHOTOFAIRS) and local curator Allie Haeusslein (Associate Director, Pier 24 Photography). Insights is a museum-quality exhibition with works for sale at the center of the venue, which will explore a new theme each year in a 200 sqm dedicated space. The inaugural 2017 edition will focus on artists who explore photographic processes in maverick ways, often to produce unique, rather than editioned prints.
