For four days in 2010, we brought Kate Gilmore's yellow-dressed ladies to Bryant Park. Walk the Walk consisted of a cubic structure, open on all sides, with a flat roof that functions as a podium. Working in shifts, groups of women took to the roof where they performed an improvisational choreography of everyday movement, such as walking, shuffling, and stomping. The participants,  neither professional dancers nor theatrical performers,  resembled a random sample of female office workers.
