We decided there was a void in the specialized calendar days (hot dog day, talk like a pirate day, etc…) for art inspired celebrations so we thought we would create Fine Art Appreciation Day. The date of October 25th from here on out will be the National day for galleries and museums to throw special events, offer special promotions, classes, whatever it may be in hopes that more people will take the time and be inspired by art. There is so much art in the world to see and explore, it is important to take time and enjoy it. We hope that everyone will be energized by the artwork they find on this day and either purchase or create an artwork to bring more art into your daily life.

Our first thought of what date to set this for was almost obvious when it came to mind, Pablo Picasso’s birthday! Picasso was born on October 25th of 1881 and was such a master of fine art in almost every media from paintings to drawings to ceramics to bronze sculptures. He also is considered a master of a wide variety of modern fine art styles, most obviously cubism. also has available in inventory the estate lithograph collection of Picasso’s granddaughter Marina Picasso with over 200 images printed in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

On this day all artworks purchased from will be shipped free! We encourage other galleries, auction houses, museums and artists to celebrate the day by using the hashtag #fineartappreciationday. You can also showcase art in your home whether it be by a fine artist or the tiniest and most creative fine artist in your home. Also, for extra fun you can dress up as your favorite artist or artwork, (it’s just 6 days before Halloween) imagine yourself as Edvard Munch’s The Scream or get a fake mustache and curl up the ends like Dali, so many possibilities. RoGallery will repost any posts we find using this hashtag to give your gallery or personal profile an extra social media boost. Follow us @rogallery. Contact the director of the gallery Robert Rogal with any questions on how to celebrate. So mark your calendars for October 25th, it will be an amazing day for art!
