A Power to Turn Unexpected Discovery into Art

Savina Museum of Contemporary Art's new year special exhibition Serendipity, The Unexpected Discovery focuses on the moments when 21 artists discovered an image that inspired their creation and the integration process that particular discovery transformed into action to produce creative achievements. This exhibition is designed as an attempt to find the answer where the first discovery began, what was the meaning of the discovery, and how the study of the unexpected discovery was carried out and completed into a work.

The Essence of Creation Is 'Eyes to Discover'

In order to have a new perspective on things, you need to be curious and carefully observing the object as if the young child first looked at the world. The change in perspective will allow you to experience new look of familiar scenery. We would like to call this "Serendipity discovery." Works that were motivated by this discovery can see what others cannot see and remind us that the discovery of beauty requires conscious effort.

Eureka Is the Best Result of Inspiration and Effort

There is no shortcut to creating creative outcomes because great discoveries come through many stages: observation, experimentation, research, immersion, and patience. In other words, Eureka is the best result of inspiration and effort. The 77 works that transformed 'unexpected discovery' into creation will present a new perspective on aesthetics and art.
