John Currin's wife and muse, sculptor Rachel Feinstein is one of two live models he ever uses (the other being himself). Regarding his awkward-erotic The Women of Franklin Street (a little NSFW), Currin confessed to the New Yorker that he posed for the bodies:

“At one point, I thought of using Rachel’s face there, but I decided against it. [...] I’ll keep myself the only person humiliated by this painting.”
