For this new weekly post, I've decided to pay homage to one of my favorite movies of all time, Heathers (1988), and make the post a lunchtime poll. Well, it's probably not ever going to be at lunch, and it's not applicable to the entire "student body," so to speak—more the spirit of the thing, in three questions, to one artist, once a week.

My first participant: Katie Grinnan (we're working on an amazing project with her at LAND, check it out here: http://www.nomadicdivision.org/exhibitions/grinnan/default.html).

1.) I'll start with the question from the honored film itself: You inherit ten million dollars the same day aliens land on Earth and say they're going to blow it up in two days. What do you do?

KG: Buy a cheap rocket and go to Mars.

2.) If you could read someone's mind for an hour—either living now or a fictional character (hence always living)—who would it be and why?

KG: Schrödinger's cat, to know if it is alive or dead.

3.) What would your superhero power be?

KG: Invisibility.

That's all folks.  I could say a lot about her answers, knowing Katie as well as I do, but I'll leave that to you smart folks to figure out...
