Last night David Zwirner opened doors to abstract art aficionados. Suzan Frecon exhibited over 40 of her expressive watercolors and oil paintings.

The artist pays much attention to the material and the interaction between paint and paper. Frecon often leaves parts of her trade-mark agate-burnished Indian ledger paper unpainted. The exposed sheet becomes an integral part of the composition overall.

The works are meditative and are better appreciated solo. So drop by unaccompanied.
