Art Deco at The Salon

Twentieth century decorative arts will play a significant role at The Salon: Art + Design where Art Deco lovers will be delighted by the anthology of works exhibited. A fine collection of furniture and lighting by Pierre Chareau, Jean-Michel Frank and Diego Giacometti will take center stage in Galerie Vallois’ booth  such as a  pivoting library table by Chareau where the genius of the architect is expressed in both the originality of the  design and  through the combination of materials; walnut and weathered iron.  L’Arc en Seine gallery will also feature works by Frank: a pair of oak cabinets covered with parchment , a shagreen coffee table and a lounge chair in limed oak with three cushions in fabric are  just some of the highlights that will be shown alongside sculptural works by Diego Giacometti.
