Adanowsky & Cristobal Jodorowsky - If I Don't Do Art I Die

Paris-born Adan Jodorowsky lives and works in Mexico City. As a child, he acted in his father Alejandro's film Santa Sangre, learned dancing from James Brown, and played guitar with George Harrison. With such a panoply of influences, it is no wonder that Adan ended up creating his own path as an actor, tango dancer, poet, and musician. He even changed his name to Adanowsky after seeing a shaman in Mexico. When thinking about the avant-garde and a person he truly admires, Adan had only one name in mind: his brother Cristobal. Cristobal is an artist and a healer. His symbolic work is inspired by their father’s heritage and love of tarot cards, which Cristobal always carries with him. To him, avant-garde means healing others instead of reproducing from the past.
