durga Garcia, "As We Are" Solo-Exhibition at the N.A.W.A. Gallery

National Association of Women Artists, Inc.
Mar 14, 2014 8:06PM

March 5 - April 1, 2014

"As We Are," an assemblage of durga Garcia's conceptual photographic work, shows images from her early work to her currently on-going Allegorical series-- alongside a selection of recent conceptual commissioned portraits. The connecting themes are female figures in natural earthy tones with subtle shades of meaning, making the images sensuous, beautiful and often thought-provoking. Exhibition prints or artist proofs are displayed, while the limited edition prints are available for purchase in small (editions of 21), medium (editions of 14), and large (editions of 7) sizes. Printed on the finest heavyweight archival papers, many are displayed without glass so the quality of paper can be seen and touched.

Currently on-view throughout the month of March at the N.A.W.A. Gallery, 80 Fifth Avenue, Suite 1405, New York, NY 10011.
