NEW YORK, NY, September 29, 2014 - The National Association of Women Artists presents its annual “New Members’ Exhibition,” showcasing the work of the artists juried in for membership in the year 2014.
On November 5, 2014, continuing 125 years of celebrating women artists, this year's juried inductees into the National Association of Women Artists will present their work in the “New Members' Exhibition.”
The year 2014 is N.A.W.A.'s 125th anniversary, so the new members will remember being enrolled in a historic benchmark year. Their artworks, in a variety of media, will be displayed at the N.A.W.A. Gallery to welcome them and present them to the public.
The Induction Ceremony and Annual General Meeting will be held on November 13, 2014 at the Rubin Museum in New York City (150 West 17th Street) from 10 am to 1 pm.
A reception will be held on Thursday, November 13 from 3 pm to 5 pm.
The National Association of Women Artists, Inc (N.A.W.A.), founded in 1889, is the first professional women's fine art organization in the United States. N.A.W.A.'s mission is to foster awareness of the monumental contribution of women to the history of American art and to foster awareness of the monumental contribution of women to the history of American art.
The purpose of the Association is to promote culture and education in the Visual Arts through exhibitions of its members' works, lectures, art demonstrations, scholarships, awards and other educational programs. The Association is represented in 42 of the 50 States, with several local chapters. Its artist members, which currently number than 800, work in a wide range of media.
