Rodrigo Valenzuela in Houston

Artist Rodrigo Valenzuela arrived in Houston recently to begin a prestigious residency with the Core Program at the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Upfor is proud to introduce Valenzuela's work to the Texas collecting community through a solo presentation at Texas Contemporary, with preview opening on September 4, open to the public through September 7.

In addition to photographic and video work presented at our booth (102), Valenzuela will present a site-specific installation in the central lounge of the fair.

Titled Future Ruins, the large-scale installation will expand on materials and ideas employed in his recent projects at Vox Populi (Philadelphia) and ALL RISE (Seattle), creating an enveloping environment of photographic landscape images and construction materials.
