Charles James x Gustav Klimt

The Met's Anna Wintour Costume Centre opened today by Michelle Obama herself, in time for its annual exhibition.

This year's exhibition is called 'Charles James: Beyond Fashion' and celebrates the couturier's talent, influence in fashion and mastery of structure and tailoring. 

So, in my mind, if Gustav Klimt's Adele Bloch-Bauer could RSVP tonight at the Gala, she would naturally wear haute couture by Charles James.

(Fun fact: The hand on Adele's body is actually a combination of 2 Klimt hands, one on top of the other.)
