Pierre Debusschere x Chad Wys

The superimposed model on Chad Wys' artwork comes from Pierre Debusschere's work for Dazed & Confused, an editorial that showcases brilliantly the spectrum of feminity through flowers as well as the photographer's immense skills and creativity.

Debusschere often digitally alters his images in what appears to be streaks of vibrant colours. And this exact characteristic was my starting point.

Chad Wys' work, amongst others, is about deconstructing decorative art objects through mixed media, as he says in his Statement, in order to "add new layers to the conversation that takes place between the observer and the object in its original state".

The artwork I chose had brush strokes, similar to those of Pierre Debusschere's.
