My Highlights from miart 2014
I never buy any works at art fairs by artists I do not know. My selection includes only works by artists whose practice I have been following already. The pieces are very different and the artists practices as well; the only element I can say could be common to all is that they are all quite humble works linked to ideas, processes, and performances beyond the object itself, therefore not so self-absorbed and self-indulging.
My Selection:
Monica Bonvicini, Black You, 2010, at Galleria Massimo Minini
Joan Jonas, Mirror performance I, 1969, at Galleria Raffaella Cortese
Marieta Chirulescu, Untitled, 2011, at Micky Schubert
