Revealing a new perspective of the Basilica di San Giorgio Maggiore, leading minimalist designer John Pawson presents “Perspectives,” an exhibition that offers visitors a unique view of the beauty of Andrea Palladio’s architectural masterpiece—all by way of Swarovski crystal.

The Swarovski Foundation’s mission is to promote creativity and innovation by working with architects, artists, and designers, and for their first ever official collateral event at the Venice Biennale, the foundation presents an installation using the largest Swarovski lens ever made. Pawson’s “Perspectives” will be placed beneath the central cupola in the Basilica of San Giorgio Maggiore and will provide visitors with architectural perspectives beyond the range of the naked eye—a dramatic optical experience that will bring new light to the interior of the famous Benedictine basilica.
