Artsy asked me to select a group of works from the library, so I selected works that live either entirely or partially online.

Selections include websites, glitch, webcam performance, and conceptual art projects from some great emerging artists. Including a personal favorite project of mine from Justin Kemp. In Adding to The Internet (2009) Kemp would search for absurd phrases in Google image search that did not have any results. He would then create the object of his imagining and post it online to fulfill his query. For many of us who use Google as an external knowledge database, Kemp reveals the missing bits of information left and playfully hints that you cannot always rely on technology to find everything — sometimes you just have to find (or in this case, make) the results for yourself.
