New York City based artist Alessandra Maria’s artwork consists of charcoal, graphite and carbon pencils, gold leaf and black ink on coffee-stained paper, resulting in haunting portraits that posses a sculptural quality. Though she graduated from Pratt Institute only in 2012, rising artist Alessandra Maria is already making waves with her delicate, mixed-media artworks. Her beautifully eerie artworks appear to be illuminated by the night sky.
