Archimedes Seguso was born into a large family whose father, Antonio, was already one of the ten masters of the famous Venetian glassware Vetri Artistici Fratelli Barovier, founded in 1866 by Antonio Salviati. "Master" at 21, he founded in 1931, with his father and his brother Ernesto, the Seguso Vetri d'Arte, which in a few years became one of the most creative Murano glassworks, especially with the Novocento style. In 1946, he develops his work a massello and his personal research in the field of watermarks and of zanfirico. Techniques that require a great mastery. "Master of the Masters", he is a reference of glass art, in the whole world.
