Arkadiy Nasonov

On one hand, Arkadiy Nasonov is a younger Conceptualist artist expressing himself in psychedelic realism. On the other hand, his work is easily understood and recognized through the scenes from then famous Soviet films, old magazines, popular scientific literature, posters and all kinds of manuals diagrams. Founder of “Cloud Commission” art group, Nasonov develops hallucinatory images by rules of literature, where reality and virtuality mix and thread so elaborately that it’s difficult to define to which world does the artist belong. All this coexists harmoniously in the works of the artist by the principles of collage and mixture, and are more important than traditional principles of composition.
