Ashlee Ip (b.1988 in Hong Kong) graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University. She blends figurative and abstract elements to create works that explore the interplay between constraint and growth. Through thin, fluid gestures and layered forms, she creates twisted and flowing shapes that imply personal emotion and instinctive feeling. Based in Hong Kong, Ip has participated in local group exhibitions and art fairs, including Art Basel Hong Kong.
