Bojan Sarcevic
Bosnian-French, b. 1974
Bojan Šarčević was born in Belgrade in 1974. He studied at L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Paris, France, graduating in 1997, and undertook postgraduate study at Rijksakademie, Amsterdam, Netherlands, from 1999 to 2000. He lives and works in Berlin and Paris. In 2012, Šarčević’s work was the subject of survey exhibitions at Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, Vaduz, and Institut d’art contemporain, Villeurbanne. Recent solo exhibitions include Stuart Shave/Modern Art, London (2016-17); BQ Gallery, Berlin (2015); and Leopold Hoesch Museum, Düren (2012). Group exhibitions include Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, Vaduz (2018); Maniera, Brussels (2017); Stuart Shave/Modern Art, London, and Mary Mary, Glasgow (2016); Joanneum Universal Museum, Salzkammergut (2015); and Museu Coleção Berardo, Lisbon (2014). Šarčević’s work was also included in the 3rd Berlin Biennial, Berlin (2004); the 50th Venice Biennale, Venice (2003); and Manifesta 2, Luxembourg (1998).
