Bruno Cançado

Bruno Cançado's work is based on architecture and how it intertwines landscape, public sphere, and domestic life. The artist develops his practice from the physicality of things, appropriating the memory and meanings inherent in the materials. Bruno Cançado's sculptures often have their materiality transfigured by the suggestion of another distinct materiality, proposing a game with preestablished senses and displacing our experience of what is familiar.
