Byul Kim shows an unfamiliar landscape in which cacti and frogs coexist and get entangled.
The artist, who spent her childhood in anxiety, confusion, frustration and pain, was positively inspired by a frog that shrank and then jumped further and higher.
Through the figure of a frog coexisting with the sharp thorns of a cactus, he revealed his desire to jump over barriers, obstacles, and threatening grips to take a proper place in the world. The artist graduated from the Department of Painting at the College of Art and Design at Konkuk University and the Department of Painting at the Graduate School of Hongik University. She has participated in 6 solo exhibitions, group exhibitions and art fairs
