Biography

Caio Reisewitz's interest is, above all, for the mechanisms and processes that produce, edit and disseminate human manifestations in an age of internet and ultra communication. Through rhythm, rhyme and repetition come images that index the common perceptions of a globalized planet and, consequently, expose its deep inequalities. Indeed, it becomes possible to question the way we formulate information and distribute our affections, reconfiguring our sensitivities to our surroundings and promoting previously unthinkable possibilities for social interaction.
Although young, it has several solo and group exhibitions in addition to Brazil.
Caio's photos mainly explore themes such as landscape, land use and architectural use. They differ from a peculiar point of view: in addition to not making social dramas explicit, Reisewitz proposes new approaches and clippings for family landscapes. With elaborate techniques, the artist gives light to refined works, in which we can observe many of the issues pertinent to contemporary photography.
