One of the foremost medical illustrators in the United States, Catherine Delphia explores the intersection of scientific illustration and fine art. Working from her rural studio in Western Massachusetts, Delphia crafts an expansive range of her signature, detailed drawings of everything from human anatomies to animal skeletons, microscopic cells to invasive surgeries. Outside of her professional commissions, the artist also makes photorealistic drawings, primarily in graphite and charcoal, that explore her interest in the human figure. With her impeccable eye for detail, trained at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Delphia has earned numerous awards, and has guest-taught and exhibited her art throughout the country.
