with turkish finely twist barrels each with a gold line around the muzzle and two sighting flats chiselled with trefoil-shaped finials encrusted with gold arabesques, breeches each with a shaped panel en suite and struck with a gold-lined barrelsmith's mark, a spray of gold-encrusted flowers beyond, and a gold band at the rear, tangs with silver-encrusted foliage, rounded locks signed 'chinelli' and each chiselled with foliage on the tail and cock (one top jaw, screw and steel old replacements), moulded full stocks (old repairs) sparsely carved with foliage along the fore-ends and around the barrel tangs, mounts cast and chased with foliage and comprising shaped side-plates, crowned escutcheons, spurred pommels, trigger-guards and faceted ramrod-pipes, scrolled triggers, and later ramrods (2)
