Christian Furr is a British painter, best known for being the youngest artist to date to have officially painted the Queen Elizabeth II. He studied Fine Art at De Montfort University. Aged just 28, he was personally selected to paint an official portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.. Furr’s influences are incredibly diverse, with inspiration coming from many directions from poetry to film. As well as portraiture, the talented painter examines everyday objects and human emotional connections, be it a member of the royal family, an enigmatic couple, a flower, a still-life or a measure of cheese and is continually interested in experimentation and exploration of new concepts.
